Rumour - Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Leaked Details Point To New Villains, More Suits, And Save Transfers From The First Game

New Marvel's Spider-Man 2 details may have leaked online, giving us a first look at what we can expect from the highly anticipated game.

Before we start, as with all rumours you should take this with a grain of salt until the details are fully unveiled by Sony or Insomniac Games.

A user on Reddit, who reportedly can't disclose how they got the information revealed in a post last month and yesterday that Spider-Man 2 development is further along than most people think.

COVID has impacted this development, but Insomniac is focusing on gameplay right now, having not recorded anything dialogue and performance-wise.

The story will revolve around the symbiote and Harry is reportedly not Venom, with this being used to give Peter the symbiote faster.

Normas Osborn will play a key role in the story, but he will not be the Green Goblin yet. Wraith and Lizard are two of the planned bosses with other key villains like Kraven The Hunter.

Other cast members will make a return with Black Cat and Kingpin showing up. J. Jonah Jameson will also be in the game, with a larger role and more in-person scenes. Mary-Jane will not be playable, with her role in the game being quite small.

Both Peter and Miles will be playable, switching between them at different points in the story, each having their own side missions. Once you beat the campaign, you will be able to switch between them at any time.

New York has been expanded and will have new areas, with Queens being one of them.

When it comes to gameplay, Peter's Black Suit will have a different play style to his regular gameplay, acting as a third playable character effectively. It will also have its own upgrade tree and unique abilities, such as a "Rage Mode".

The most surprising bit of information here is that Insomniac will reportedly add a save transfer from the first game to Spider-Man 2. This would allow you to choose to carry over your upgrades and gadgets which you have already earned so that you don't have to re-earn them all.

As we said, take all of this with a grain of salt and caution for now. Hopefully, Sony will give us some details in the next year or so.
