Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Just Got A Surprise Patch – Here's What It Does

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe may have launched in 2017 as a re-release of a Wii U title from 2014, but Nintendo's big selling racer just got another patch.

Update 1.7.2 may be a little disappointing in its contents (as you'll see below), but hey, it's nice to know that Nintendo is still continuing to improve the game this long after its initial release.

- Addressed an issue that caused tournament points to be reset.
- Addressed an issue that caused match history with friends to be reset.

The game has shifted over 35 million units on Switch alone, with over ten million sold in the last financial year alone.

It remains the best-selling Nintendo Switch title, although Animal Crossing: New Horizons is closing in.
