You'd be forgiven for forgetting a Life is Strange TV adaptation was planned. Back in 2016, Legendary Digital Studios announced this project, before the rights moved to streaming service Hulu the next year. Now, four years on, we've finally been told its still in production.

Bringing in production company Anonymous Content, they've now enlisted Grammy-nominated singer Shawn Mendes as an executive producer. As part of this, Mendes will also be overseeing the TV show's music, which had a significant presence in previous games.

Presently, it's unknown which game this TV series follows, though considering it was announced back in 2016, we'd only seen the first game launched at that time. Since then, we've also had prequel series Life is Strange: Before the Storm, alongside Life is Strange 2 and Life is Strange: True Colors, the last two featuring different protagonists.

While starting at the beginning would make sense, that remains assumptive until plot details are officially confirmed. In the meantime, True Colors launches on September 10th, while Life is Strange: Remastered Collection has been delayed into 2022. We'll keep you updated as we hear more about the TV series.
