Square Enix revealed Life Is Strange: True Colors, and it looks to be just as emotional and powerful as its predecessors. True Colors is set in the fictional town of Haven Springs, an idyllic-looking retreat on the surface.

But this is Life Is Strange, which means tragedy is just around the corner. It features a new protagonist and a new power and is set to release soon on most platforms. Square Enix is also shaking up how the release rolls out this time.

Life Is Strange: True Colors Gets Twitch Crowd Choice Support - September 3

Square Enix has confirmed that True Colors will receive Twitch crowd choice, letting viewers vote on your major gameplay choices.

Life Is Strange Remastered Collection Delayed - August 11

The Life Is Strange dev team announced the Remastered Collection is delayed until early 2022 so the team can focus on True Colors in the wake of ongoing pandemic-related issues.

Confirmed for Switch - June 15

Nintendo's E3 showcase revealed that True Colors will come to the Switch - as well as the HD remaster of the prior games.

E3 2021 - June 13

Square Enix debuted a new True Colors trailer and brief gameplay segment showing off Alex's powers of empathy.

Alex can interact with other people's emotions and figure out their secrets, troubles, and more.

She then has to decide what to do with this knowledge. Choices made will determine how character stories unfold and even their fates.

June 9 - Some rumours overnight suggest that Square Enix might not feature any big Final Fantasy series news at their E3 2021 press conference.

This is according to ResetERA forums member Sasliquid (Via wccftech.com). Supposedly, the information was also subsequently verified by the ResetERA forums administrations team.

Whilst this isn't great for anyone hoping to see Final Fantasy 16 or Final Fantasy Origin, it could mean more time in the presentation for the likes of titles like Marvel Avengers, Outriders and perhaps Life Is Strange: True Colors. Fingers crossed.

June 7 - Square Enix promised a deep dive into Life Is Strange True Colors during its E3 2021 presentation.

While we're not sure what that entails just yet, we're expecting more information about True Colors' characters and hopefully a new trailer.

What Is Life Is Strange: True Colors?

True Colors focuses on Alex Chen, a new protagonist visiting her brother after eight years away from him. Unfortunately, her brother dies in what appears to be an accident, and Alex is determined to find out what happened.

She uses her powers that allow her to feel what other character's feel, but she needs to be careful – Alex can be overwhelmed by the emotions of others. True Colors is the first Life Is Strange not to be released in episodes. The entire game will be released in one complete package.

Life Is Strange True Colors Release Date

Life is Strange: True Colors' launch date is September 10, 2021. However, Switch owners once again face a delay and that'll arrive later this year, as outlined below:

DualSense Features

In a PlayStation Blog post, Deck Nine said the DualSense lightbar will change colors to reflect Alex's dominant emotions at the time, and the left trigger's tension will change to reflect her power's strength.
