Sentinels Of Light Revealed By Riot Games For League Of Legends


Riot Games recently revealed the upcoming Sentinels of Light event for League of Legends with update 11.14 on 8th July.

The Sentinels of Light event will also feature a brand new champion, the Lost Sentinel, Akshan.

Although there isn't much info available about Akshan, Riot Games has confirmed that more details about the upcoming champion will be revealed in the weeks leading up to the update.

Sentinels of Light

According to the reveal from Riot Games, Sentinels of Light will feature new experiences across all of Riot's leading games. This includes,

  • League of Legends
  • Wild Rift
  • Legends of Runeterra
  • Teamfight Tactics; and
  • Valorant

Additionally, it has also been revealed that the Sentinels of Light franchise event will also feature opportunities for players to make an impact in their local communities through the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

Having said that, the details of this upcoming franchise event from Riot Games remain unknown for now. However, the developers have revealed six new Sentinel/Ruination-themed skins in update 11.14. The Champions set to receive new skins in update 11.14 are::

  • Ruined Pantheon
  • Sentinel Diana
  • Sentinel Irelia
  • Sentinel Olaf
  • Sentinel Riven; and
  • Sentinel Vayne

With 5 exclusive Sentinel-themed skins scheduled to arrive with update 11.14 on 8th July, it is safe to say that the new champion, Akshan will also make their appearance in League of Legends at the same time.

According to Riot's official statement regarding Sentinels of Light, this is what the developers had to say,

"Sentinels of Light officially kicks off on July 8 and includes new experiences in League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and VALORANT, allowing players to get in on the action from any of their favorite Riot games."

Additionally, the report also added,

"The event will also feature opportunities for players around the world to make an impact in their local communities through the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, whose last event was the Elderwood Ornn charity that raised over $7 million."
