UPDATE - The lead gameplay designer of Riot Games revealed through a tweet the champions who will receive buffs and nerfs in the next update which is patch 11.16. It may arrive by August 11 to the game's servers.

19 July 2021 - The new League of Legends patch arrives this week, along with the inevitable new 11.16 patch for the games PBE. We might see some last-minute changes to the 11.15 patch, so stay tuned for more info in the coming days.

12 July 2021 - Patch 11.15 will arrive today and the whole patch notes have been released by Riot Games which contain all the new content, as well as the fixes and champion changes coming to League of Legends.


LoL 11.15 Patch Release Schedule

Update 11.15 is scheduled to release on 21st July. Considering the timing of previous patches in League of Legends, here's when players can expect the update to go live on the main server:

  • 3 am PT(NA servers)
  • 5 am GMT (WEU servers)
  • 3 am CET (EEU servers)

Given that the PBE cycle for update 11.15 recently began, the balancing changes are yet to be confirmed by the developers. We will update this section and our Official League of Legends Patch Notes once more information is available so make sure to check back soon.

LoL Patch 11.15 Champion Changes (PBE Preview)

Given that the release of update 11.15 is drawing near, some of the possible changes for the upcoming patch are expected to be arriving soon on the PBE server. Having said that, League of Legends' Lead Game Designer, Jeevun "Jag" Sidhu has released a patch preview for update 11.15.


Here is a quick rundown of the expected changes for the upcoming patch in League of Legends:

Jag also shed some light on why Aurelion Sol was being nerfed. He said,

"Aurelion Sol's Elite win rate in the last 2 patches has been 57.3% and 57.4%. Both of those have been the highest win rates of any champion in Elite MMR."

With that in mind, it seems certain that Aurelion Sol will receive a notable nerf in the 11.15 update. However, it is extremely difficult to speculate until the changes are official and live.

  • Ability Power ratio decreased to 75% from 80%

Aurelion Sol

Starsurge (Q):

  • Ability cooldown has increased to 12/11/10/9/8 seconds from 11/10/9/8/7 seconds



  • Blitzacrank’s base armour has increased to 40 from 37

Rocket Grab (Q):

  • Damage dealt increased to 90/140/190/240/290 from 70/120/170/220/270


Piltover Peacemaker (Q):

  • Attack Damage ratio has increased to 130/145/160/175/190% from 130/140/150/160/170%


Twin Fang (E):

  • Ability’s bonus magic damage dealt increased to 20/40/60/80/100 from 10/30/50/70/90


Skip ‘n Slash (E):

  • Attack Speed decreased to 20/35/50/65/80% from 40/50/60/70/80%


Defiant Dance (W):

  • Minimum damage dealt decreased to 10/25/40/55/70 (40% AD) (+40% AP) from 10/25/40/55/70 (50% AD)(40% AP)
  • Maximum damage dealt decreased to [10/55/100/145/190 (120% AD) (+120% AP) from 30/75/120/165/210 (+150% AD) (120% AP)]



  • Base Magic Resistance decreased to 26 from 30


Thundering Shuriken (Q):

Indestructible (W):

  • Stored damage dealt by ability has increased to 45% from 30%

Ferromancy (W):

  • Ability cooldown decreased to 11 seconds from 13 seconds


Junkyard Titan (Passive):

  • Duration of overheating decreased to 5.25 seconds from 6 seconds


Twin Bite (Q):

  • Ability Power ratio of first attack has increased to 35% from 25%
  • Ability Power ratio of second attack bonus damage has increased to 25% from 15%
  • Ability cooldown decreased to 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 seconds from 9/8/7/6/5 seconds


Chain Lash (Q):

  • Damage from detonation increased to [70/125/180/235/290 (90% AP)] from [60/115/170/225/280 (+80% AP)]

Kingslayer (W):

  • Healing decreased to [25/50/75/100/125 (+40% AP)] from [30/60/90/120/150 (+45% AP)]


Dark Sphere (Q):

  • Mana cost decreased to 40/50/60/70/80 from 60/65/70/75/80


Flay (E):

  • Ability cooldown increased to 13/12.25/11.5/10.75/10 seconds from 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds


Blade of the Ruined King (Q)

  • Base damage dealt decreased to 15/30/45/60/75 from 25/40/55/70/85
  • Bonus damage dealt to monsters doubled to 20 from 10
  • Healing gained from minions decreased to 10% from 50%



  • Health regeneration (HP5) decreased to 2.5 from 4


Featherstorm (R):

  • Ability cooldown decreased to 140/120/100 seconds from 160/145/130 seconds

Additionally, there will also be champion changes for the Ultimate Spellbook game mode which was introduced in the Sentinels of Light event in update 11.14.

Malphite R:

  • Unstoppable Force is now available, with 0 bonus ability haste and 80% ratios

Tryndamere R:

  • Undying Rage is no longer available



  • Plus 5% damage dealt, minus 5% damage taken



  • Plus 5% damage taken

  • MInus 5% damage dealt, minus 25% healing and shielding

Ulternate Summoner Changes

Miss Fortune R:

  • From 80 now 100% AD/AP ratios

Jhin R:

  • From 90 to 45 bonus ability haste

Ezreal R:

  • From 80 to 90% AD/AP ratios

Lux R:

  • From 80 to 90% AD/AP ratios

Xerath R:

  • From 80 to 100% AD/AP ratios

Olaf R:

  • From 10 to 0 bonus ability haste

A New Champion, Akshan

The release of update 11.15 is set to introduce the new mid-lane marksman, Akshan, into the pool of champions. Equipped with resurrection mechanics, Akshan is expected to have a massive impact as soon as he arrives on the main server. You can check out Akshan's entire arsenal of spells here.


The Rogue Sentinel is expected to play a significant role in the Sentinels of Light in-game story experience. Additionally, Viego is also likely to have a substantial role in the storyline where The Sentinels of Light push out ruination.

New Skins in LoL Patch 11.15

As of this moment, the developers have confirmed six new skins being introduced to League of Legends with the release of update 11.15. These skins are:

  • Cyber Pop Akshan
  • Ruined Miss Fortune
  • Sentinel Graves
  • Sentinel Pyke
  • Sentinel Rengar
  • Unbound Thresh

Extra Content In Patch 11.15

Apart from all of these, update 11.15 is also expected to feature a ton of new Chromas, Summoner Icons, and Emotes.

UPDATE - The animations for the new chromas were also revealed by Riot Games.


Also for Clash Starts:

  • Mount Targon Clash: The second weekend of the Mount Targon-themed Clash will be July 24th and 25th. Team formation for the second weekend will be open starting on July 19th.
  • Bandle City Clash: The first weekend of the Bandle City-themed Clash will be August 7th and 8th. Team formation for the first weekend will be open starting on August 2nd. The second weekend will be during patch 11.16.

Rise of the Sentinels Chapter III (Update)

Riot has also revealed the Rise of the Sentinels event chapter III today, July 22, and will officially arrive in the game by July 23.

Patch 11.16 On The Way

Riot Games' lead gameplay designer Jeevun Sidhu aka Jag revealed on Twitter the champions who could possibly receive buffs and nerfs, as well as the system buffs and nerfs coming in patch 11.16 scheduled on August 11.
