HBO's The Last Of Us Season One Is Ten Episodes Long


HBO's The Last Of Us season one will last for 10 episodes, each running up to roughly an hour. This news comes from show writer and producer Craig Mazin, who confirmed this during a recent appearance on the Scriptnotes podcast.

Within this podcast, Mazin also revealed two of the show's directors are yet to be announced. So far, we've been told that Ali Abbas, Kantemir Balagov, and Jasmila Zbanic are directing episodes, though just how many they're each handling remains unclear.

However, we've yet to actually see just how much of The Last of Us' story is being covered within this first season. While we know this'll reach into events from the first game in season 1, potentially stretching into Part II for a second, that remains purely speculative.

While Game of Thrones stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are playing lead characters, Joel and Ellie, Nico Parker's just been confirmed to play Joel's daughter, Sarah.
