Kirby and The Forgotten Land is the next instalment in the Kirby series of games. The Waddle Dees have been kidnapped by The Beast Pack and it is down to Kirby (and friends) to save them all.

On their quest, Kirby will journey to and through The Forgotten Land. Once a civilisation, it has been forgotten and left to be reclaimed by nature. Here's everything we know so far about the game.

9 February, 2022 - Nintendo Direct Debuts New Kirby Trailer

Nintendo revealed a detailed new Kirby and the Forgotten Lands trailer during the February Nintendo Direct showcasing a brand-new ability for the pink puffball - and it's not just a copy ability. Mouthful Mode lets Kirby absorb objects big and small, ranging from full cars to traffic cones and practically everything in between, opening up a range of different platforming and puzzle opportunities. Nintendo has confirmed a new Direct presentation airs tomorrow on February 9. Scheduled to kick off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10PM GMT / 11pm CET, that's expected to last for "roughly 40 minutes," focus on Switch games launching "in the first half of 2022."

Prominent Leaker Claims New Nintendo Direct Is Coming This Month - We've seen new rumblings that a Nintendo Direct presentation is coming this month. Zippo - who correctly predicted Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's re-release - advised a new Direct could happen as soon as next week.

While Zippo states they're "not sure of the content at this point in time," they believed this would feature Kirby And The Forgotten Land, alongside Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, Xenoblade 3, a new Fire Emblem, and Mario Kart 9.

Release Date

The game is due to be released on March 25th, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch consoles. You can now pre-order your version of the game from the official Nintendo Shop.

Co-op

The game will have a co-op mode! One person can play as Kirby and the other will take control of Bandana Waddle Dee. Together, you can venture through the various missions and enemies to save the stolen Waddle Dees.

New Abilities

So far, we know that there will be at least 2 new copy abilities for Kirby. One of these is called "Drill" and the other is called "Ranger". From previous Kirby games, we feel it is safe to assume these new abilities will be useful in battling The Beast Pack.
