Overmorrow Brings Us A Serene, Nonviolent Adventure Next Year

Overmorrow has just been announced as one of the top 15 finalists for UK Game of the Show, hosted by UKIE at Gamescom later this month. This solo indie effort comes from Marcus "PixelManta" Clarke, an ex-Senior Game Designer who previously worked on Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and more.

Describing Overmorrow as a "visually unique, nonviolent indie game", gameplay revolves around discovering runes. The more you find, the more actions you can take in one day. Once exhausted, resting replenishes the runes, progressing your day count and the story. However, upon hitting 30 in-game days, that save is deleted, though PixelManta confirms it's "just one more step to discovering the game's many mysteries."

Overmorrow Brings Us A Serene, Nonviolent Adventure Next Year

Speaking further about this upcoming release, PixelManta offered this outline:

Overmorrow is a serene, nonviolent, exploration adventure game that deletes your save after 30 days. It combines elements of 2D Zelda's overworld and puzzle design, a day scheduling system akin to Persona and a mysterious metanarrative that evokes vibes of Undertale. It's a unique combination of elements that combine to an experience that could only be achieved with a small game such as Overmorrow.

PixelManta advised Overmorrow's coming to PC and Consoles in 2022. Right now, we don't know which consoles that'll include, but its available to wishlist on Steam, and you can watch the announcement trailer above. We'll keep you informed as we learn more.
