Overcooked! All You Can Eat Gets A 5th Anniversary Update

Overcooked! remains a popular co-op multiplayer game. Launched in 2016, Ghost Town Games and Team17's frantic experience saw up to four players controlling chefs in a kitchen, preparing meals within a small timeframe.

A remastered bundle, Overcooked! All You Can Eat, arrived last year with both games, their respective DLCs and new content. Now though, we've got a fresh update. Celebrating Overcooked's 5th anniversary, Ghost Town Games just released an update with new stages, a new chef, and new gameplay mechanics.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat Gets A 5th Anniversary Update

Serving up five birthday-themed levels alongside our new chef, The Tabby Cat, this anniversary update implements the "Switcheroo". If used, playing cards can transport players to across your kitchen for further shenanigans. We've also got a new recipe for Tea, and you can watch the full trailer detailing these below.

Speaking about this further, Ghost Town Games co-founder Phil Duncan issued this statement:

Five years on, still the most rewarding aspect of working on Overcooked! is getting to see and hear the reaction from players around the world. Seeing the fan art, the music covers, the cosplay and even the occasional tattoo is something I'll never get used to. Hearing stories about players bonding with friends and loved-ones over their time spent playing the game together is something we're humbled to have played a part in.

Arriving as a free update, players can dive into that right now for Overcooked! All You Can Eat. It's a hefty update to an already large package, including over 200 levels. We'll keep you informed if there's any further developments.
