Warzone Caldera is a slight change to the first iteration of Warzone as the focus switches to the launch of Warzone 2. While several players plan on making the jump to Call of Duty's latest battle royale offering, the option to drop into Caldera is remaining.

Rather than scrapping it altogether, the servers will stay on for those wanting to continue playing on the Pacific island. In addition to a slight name change, there are plenty of other modifications on their way.

What is Warzone Caldera?

Warzone Caldera is the new name for the first version of Warzone. Players can carry on dropping onto the island even when Warzone 2 is the primary focus which is great news for those waiting to see if the new game is worth playing.

It's a stripped version of Warzone, with certain features disappearing altogether so Raven Software continues maintaining the game so it runs as smoothly as possible.
