All eyes are slowly turning towards the Modern Warfare 2 Season Three update. Infinity Ward's next seasonal update is bound to contain plenty of new content for multiplayer as the cycle surpasses the halfway stage.

When is Modern Warfare 2 Season Three?

It turns out the Battle Pass timer was accurate after all. Infinity Ward confirms Season Three will begin on April 12.

The latest piece of Season Three intel to arrive involves the two Operators arriving in multiplayer. For those familiar with the single-player campaign. Alejandro and Valeria officially making their debut.

There's a high chance one of the two will arrive as part of the Battle Pass.

In addition to the FJX Imperium, the trailer also unveiled Pelayo's Lighthouse, a brand-new Core multiplayer map. Little is known about the layout but it's one of few to be set in the darkness.

What we want to see in Modern Warfare 2 Season Three

A meta overhaul

Despite seasonal updates containing numerous buffs and nerfs affecting the majority of the weapon arsenal, the meta in multiplayer remains the same with the best guns dominating matches with ease.

Rather than applying nerfs to weapons that aren't popular, implement adjustments that have the ability to spark change in the meta in order to increase weapon variety.

Better anti-cheat

The sheer number of hackers in ranked is far from ideal. When it comes to a mode where an even playing field is hugely important, letting hackers slip through the net isn't a good look.

The team behind Ricochet anti-cheat hasn't provided an update since October 2022 and with hackers also causing chaos in Warzone 2, it's time for Infinity Ward and Ricochet to step up their game and stop hackers from ruining a feature that injected plenty of fresh air into Modern Warfare 2.
