Is Horizon Forbidden West Coming To PS4?

Horizon Forbidden West made a lot of headway when it was first announced in a PS5 games showcase, with many fans deciding right then and there that they would get a PlayStation 5 just to play the game.

Many were sure that the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel would be exclusive to the PS5 since the first game was a technical marvel on the PS4 and a PS5-only follow-up will likely result in an even prettier game.

Is Horizon Forbidden West On PS4?

So, to the shock of many, it was announced sometime last year that Horizon Forbidden West would be a cross-gen game coming to both PS4 and PS5, along with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

It seems that this was done to appease those that weren’t able to get a PS5, due to how limited the stocks for that console are, with the developers at Guerrilla Games assuring fans that the PS4 version is more than playable.

Considering how hard it is to get a PS5 right now, with reports stating that the console mass production won’t be possible till next year, we’re glad to see Horizon Forbidden West on the PS4.

Guerrilla Games even stated that Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 has been playtested numerous times, which will hopefully mean that the game will run well with little-to-no hiccups affecting the overall presentation.

Both Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure managed to perform well on the PS4, so it shouldn’t be impossible for Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West will supposedly come to PS4 and PS5 sometime this year, though we wouldn’t be too surprised if it ended up getting delayed to 2022.
