Halo Infinite: How To Use The Mangler
The Mangler can hold up to 8 large rounds, acting as a revolving pistol-shotgun hybrid. It's similar to the Mauler in Halo 3 but instead, it fires precise bullets more so than spreading pellets with every shot.
As for the damage, it's very high. Each bullet is capable of removing a significant proportion of your enemy's health - three or four shots to the head and you'll instantly kill them.
The Mangler also does extra melee damage, meaning you can get a kill close-up with one shot and a melee strike. This makes it a real treat to use in 4v4 matchups.
The only issue is its sluggish fire rate. Despite holding eight shots, it takes a long time to revolve. It's fires shots slowly so you'll have to wait a second before releasing the next bullet - this is a trade-off considering the major power of the gun. So you'll need to shoot your gun precisely to come out on top in close-quarter firefights.
But, if you find it's going a bit too slow or you're on the verge of death, use the Mangler's two front blades to sharply melee and impale your victims.
The Mangler is slow but overpowered - just make sure to use it in close combat. Other weapons that are effective as melee weapons are the Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword.
