Halo Infinite Introduces Jega the Spartan Killer

Halo Infinite is finally coming out next month and though the focus has mostly been on the multiplayer, 343 Industries hasn’t forgotten about the single-player campaign with the recent release of the Campaign Overview getting fans excited and now the reveal of Jega, a new Halo Infinite boss.

We’ve seen a number of the enemies Master Chief will be taking on in Halo Infinite, like The Banished, who took over Zeta Halo, Atriox, returning from the events of Halo Wars 2, and War Chief Escharum, the second-in-command of Atriox, but it looks like there’s something special about Jega as the new boss was recently spotlighted by IGN.

Halo Infinite Introduces Jega the Spartan Killer

Jega ‘Rdomnai has been described as a red-plasma-sword-wielding elite and a member of the Spartan Killers, a group of powerful enemies who plan on cutting up Master Chief in more ways than one, but Jega seems to be more sadistic than his other teammates.

Creative Director Paul Crocker described Jega as one of the most disturbing characters that have ever been in Halo, while Narrative Writer Jeff Easterling said that Jega would have an interesting relationship with Escharum, teasing a subtle partnership between the two.

While Jega gets the main showcase, the fact that we have a group of Spartan Killers should make Halo Infinite one of the more interesting entries in the franchise when it comes to boss fights, since it’s always cool seeing the main character like Master Chief fight an equal.

Halo Infinite is coming to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 8.
