Halo: The Master Chief Collection may have been a disaster when it launched on Xbox One all the way back in 2014, but it's now the definitive way to play through Halo 1 - 4, as well as the post-launch additions of Reach and ODST.

Halo: Combat Evolved PC Release Date

Beta testing concluded in February, but a recent trailer suggests that the Chief could be able to pick up his famous assault rifle (and famously overpowered pistol) using mouse and keyboard very soon.

Fans have pointed out that the audio from the scene is actually taken from Halo: Combat Evolved's intro. Is it just a nostalgia trip, or will we be defending the Pillar of Autumn soon and crashlanding on our first Halo ring?

Sign us up for Blood Gulch, any day, and with Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 all due to be released this year, we'd imagine we're due for one any time now.
