Halo Infinite: Get Your First Look at Weapon Skins for Multiplayer, Courtesy of Monster Energy

Microsoft has partnered with Monster Energy drinks for Halo Infinite, which is a bit awkward, given the game’s been delayed to 2021.

The slogan their running with is “Bank Now, Play Later,” which makes sense — you’ll have to hang on to your receipts for a while. (We only know that Infinite’s supposed to arrive sometime in 2021.)

“Between September 1 and December 31, 2020, fans who purchase limited-edition Monster Energy Halo Infinite cans at select retail stores [in the United States] can bank 30-minute Double XP Boosts, enter a sweepstakes to win a variety of prizes, and unlock access to the Halo Infinite world through a Snapchat filter encoded on each can,” Microsoft said in a blog post on Monday.

Weapon skins available as part of the promotion include the battle rifle, assault rifle, commando weapon, and MK50 sidearm. You can also unlock special player emblems.

“To unlock the promotional content, save your receipts and go to Monster-Halo.com during the program period and follow the instructions to submit your entry into the program.”

Similar promotions are available in Canada, EMEA, and Mexico.
