Halo Infinite Will Have Friendly Fire in Competitive Multiplayer Modes

It looks like Microsoft and 343 Industries are set to make Halo Infinite a big player in the gaming multiplayer scene, with the recent Flight Test not only confirming five maps but also telling fans that there will be Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite.

While the option isn’t always for everyone, Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite would force players to become more strategic and work harder with their teammates, so anyone looking for a competitive multiplayer experience probably won’t be disappointed.

Halo Infinite Will Have Friendly Fire in Competitive Multiplayer Modes

Fans on Reddit took notice of the Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite when the game told them to beware of accidentally getting shot by their teammates during competitive modes, which adds plenty of tension.

As of this writing, it’s not yet clear if the Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite can be turned off, we imagine that it can since a lot of gamers won’t be comfortable with that option, so we expect Microsoft and 343 Industries to run down the rules of that in the near future.

Personally, it would probably be better if the Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite could be turned off, but this could make competitive multiplayer more enthralling for some and might end up being the default choice for tournaments.

Only time will tell if Friendly Fire in Halo Infinite can be turned off but we’re sure a lot of players will dig the option in due time but we’re gonna have to wait and see.

Halo Infinite will be coming to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 8.
