Halo Infinite Hits 270,000 Concurrent Steam Players Hours After Multiplayer Launch


Following Halo Infinite's free-to-play multiplayer launch after yesterday's Xbox 20th Anniversary stream, Microsoft's already hit record numbers on Steam. Within hours of going live, Infinite hit 270,000 concurrent players on Steam.

VGC reports that SteamDB recorded 272,586 concurrent players just eight hours after the multiplayer component was officially launched. Adding to this, Infinite's multiplayer also launched for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Xbox PC app, though player numbers for these remain undetermined.

Halo Infinite Records More Than 200,000 Concurrent Players On Steam Just Hours After Multiplayer Component Release

It's worth noting that Infinite's multiplayer is currently in the beta phase, though it's already surpassed the peak concurrent player count in Steam yesterday for Apex Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, and Forza Horizon 5.

Infinite grabbed the fourth higher peak number of concurrent players behind competitive titles, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2, and PUBG Battlegrounds. Halo Infinite will be officially released on December 8th, 2021, so make sure to follow us for gaming news and updates.
