Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass 1 Roadmap: All Confirmed Characters, Release Dates & More

Early into the game's reveal, Arc System Works has already revealed the Season 1 DLC roadmap for Guilty Gear Strive. New characters, stages, and even a Story mode is coming to the game soon. Here's what we know about the new content for this fighting game.

Guilty Gear Strive Season 1 DLC Characters

As seen in the roadmap, the developers are adding five new characters to Guilty Gear Strive to its 15-character roster. Two of the five character DLCs will be released this coming July and August. The three remaining characters will be released on Fall 2021.

So far, the first two character DLCs have an information on who they're going to be. The July 2021 character will be a fully new character to the Guilty Gear series. This character is speculated to be one of the new characters met during the Story mode of Guilty Gear Strive.

Meanwhile, the August 2021 character will be a returning character from the previous games. Popular characters like Baiken, Johnny, Testament and Bridget are speculated to return for this game.

New Maps

Aside from the characters, two new maps will be added in the Fall 2021 updates. The new stages could be added as a new stage that will match the new characters added. The release date of these stages are also still unknown.

A New Story Mode

The developers have also confirmed of Another Story DLC coming in as part of the Season 1 DLC of Guilty Gear Strive. This DLC will be another Story mode in Guilty Gear Strive. As of now, the first Story mode campaign features an adventure following Sol Badguy and is presented similar to an anime series on Netflix instead of a visual novel.

Additionally, the Guilty Gear Strive Story Mode is solely a watching experience where players would not need to pick up the controller to take control of a character about to fight. Another Story may follow a similar format.

In the first story mode, some characters in the current playable roster didn't appear in Story mode. Characters like May, Faust, and Ramlethal Valentine didn't make a single appearance in the story up until they finally showed up in the credits. This Another Story DLC could feature an adventure where these characters will show up.
