Arc System Works has recently confirmed that Jack O Valentine will be the second DLC character for Guilty Gear Strive. This character summons servants to help her in battle to overwhelm her foes in offense. Here's what we know about this upcoming character this August.

Jack O Release Date

As seen on her official trailer, Jack O will be added for all Guilty Gear Strive players on August 30. However, players who bought the Season Pass can play her as early as August 27. This release pattern is similar to the first DLC character, Goldlewis Dickinson, when he was added in the game last July.

Who Is Jack O

In the Guilty Gear Strive story, Jack O Valentine is seen working with Sol Badguy in bounty hunting and is also roped in to fight off the main villains as the story progresses. She has a key role in the story as she is the only one who can directly negate I-no's worldbending powers if she manages to complete it herself.

On the other end, Jack O bears a strong resemblance to Sol Badguy's love interest, Aria Hale, before when she turned into the highly robotic Gear, Justice. In Strive's story, Jack O often converses with Aria's consciousness inside her and is often conflicted with her identity as a person and as a potential spare body for Aria Hale.

Playstyle According To Trailer

Her reveal trailer still features much of her Guilty Gear Xrd playstyle which shows her summoning servants to help her in fights. While she relies on her servants to fight for her, she's also a capable fighter all on her own with her nimble strikes which shows some inhuman flexibility.

However, Guilty Gear Strive's version of Jack O shows that she doesn't rely on making servant houses anymore and can summon up to three servants to fight with her in matches. She can also directly interact with her servants as she throws and kicks them toward her foes in matches. Her servant throws doesn't seem to be out of a special attack and would immediately fly off when hit by her punches and kicks.

Her servants can also bounce off each other and even explode after a timer. However, her Overdrive super was cut off short before showing the full animation the trailer.

For now, we'll have to wait until the end of the month before we can see and play as Jack O in Guilty Gear Strive.
