Once you’ve had a taste of the power you’ll be begging to know how to increase your max energy cell capacity in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. If you’ve spent any amount of time in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, then you know just how important the Zonai and their technology are. Luckily for you, we have all of the answers.

The Zonai are a mysterious prehistoric civilisation who were teased throughout the entirety of Breath of the Wild. Thankfully though, for those of us who want answers, they appear in person in Tears of the Kingdom. They are all too keen to spill their secrets to those who will listen, but only if you prove yourselves worthy.

How to increase max energy cell capacity in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

First of all, you’ll want to find yourself some Zonaite. This is a special type of resource that’s needed to power Zonai technology, such as energy cells. One of the best places to find Zonaite is the Depths, the underground area of Hyrule.

Once you’re in the Depths, you just need to look out for huge, sparkling deposits of a black material, usually found around clustered around the boulders down there. This will be Zonaite, and you’ll need a stone or boulder-fused weapon to harvest them.

If you want your Zonaite mining activities to be a little more fast-paced, then you can always take on the mobs of the Depths instead. The Bokoblins, Lizalfos, Froxes, and Moblins will all drop Zonaite.

You will then want to take this Zonaite to a forge construct, such as the Great Abandoned Central Mine. The Zonaite can then be traded for as many crystallised and large crystallised charges as you can get your hands on.

Next, if you go to a crystal refinery, such as the Nachoya Shrine, you’ll be able to trade 100 crystallised charges for one energy well. For every energy well you have, your energy well meter will increase by one!

Now that you have more energy wells, you’ll be able to use abilities like Autobuild and Ultrahand without using Zonai charges in your inventory.
