Valorant Episode 6 Act 2 agent updates

The main change this season is that Gekko finally goes live in Valorant. A new initiator added to the agent roster, Gekko the Angeleno has some cute creatures up his sleeve to help his fellow agents either plant or defuse the spike.

He can send concussive blasts to enemies, have one of his creatures plant the spike, throw a grenade-like slime ball, and even keep enemies at bay with his ultimate ability.

A gamechanger in Valorant, Gekko also has some interesting lore with his connection to Reyna, as seen in the trailers of their interactions.

Valorant Episode 6 Act 2 performance updates

There's been an updated thread synchronisation to reduce input latency. Input latency has been improved by ~1 frame for players who meet the following criteria:

  • They do not have NVIDIA Reflex/AMD Anti-Lag available/enabled
  • They have multithreaded rendering enabled
  • They use VSYNC

Additionally, there's now a fixed hitch where a game mode-related UI is loaded in a blocking manner on the game's startup.

Bug fixes

For agents, there's now a fixed bug where if Sage's Barrier Orb was damaged while fortifying, it would fortify to full health instead of going to max health, minus the damage that was dealt during fortification. Sage mains are sure to be relieved with that update.

A gameplay system has been fixed wherein abilities like Soa's Drone that are pushed by the Lotus doors into other players, could continue to push players even after the door stops or the players exited the door area.

Besides the skins, this battle pass comes with a Tilde knife melee. Similarly, a new skin bundle is being released, which is the Oni 2.0 skinline. This comes with a katana melee.

Furthermore, you can expect a lot of fun and meme-worthy sprays to use such as the Omen cat dance, a Breach "Let's Go!" spray, and a Reyna "Huh?" spray. While for gun-buddies, some of its roster includes a cactus, easter egg, and a fidget spinner.
