Everyone's talking about the wiggly boy, and sometimes they're asking what level does Wiglett evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The new Generation nine titles bring a bunch of brand-new Pokemon for trainers to track down and capture, and one, Wiglett, looks all too familiar. When does Wiglett evolve? Does Wiglett evolve? We'll tell you.

Wiglett is one of the brand new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, and given that it's another iteration on the original Diglett, it should evolve as well. But knowing exactly when will tell how hard you have to trainer before it does.

While we're waiting for the game to drop, why not freshen up on the Paldea Dex, the Paldea region map, and learning what the new Tera Raids are. For more, check out how to get Charmander and Rowlet, too.

Does Wiglett evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Yes, Wiglett does evolve. But, as its slightly different name would suggest, it doesn't evolve in Dugtrio like a standard or Alolan Diglett would. Instead, Wiglett evolves into Wugtrio.

What level does Wiglett evolve?

Diglett and Alolan Diglett both evolve into their Dugtrio forms at level 26. As such, we expect that Wiglett will also evolve at Level 26 also. There also aren't any special conditions for the Diglett line, such as stone evolution or friendship levels, so we also don't expect there to be any for Wiglett, either.

As we said, Wiglett is essentially the next iteration of Diglett. Given that the game is not quite out yet, we don't have exact numbers, but rather a very good educated guess as to when Wiglett will evolve.

Of course, we'll update this page if that happens to be false. A lot of the information is being reported on by those who managed to get the game early, but it's hard to verify these things without having the game in-hand.
