We've almost got our hands on Generation nine, and we've been looking at all the leaked information on how to evolve Rellor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, along with all the other new friends coming to the games. If you're about to catch or train a Rellor, knowing when it evolves into Rabsca is something you'll want to read up on before you waste your time.

Scarlet and Violet are the latest generation of Pokémon games, and this time are set in Paldea - a region reminiscent of the Iberian Peninsula. There are plenty of themed new Pokemon and evolutions to old favourites to bolster the Pokedex, and we're super excited to catch them all.

There's still time to pre-order of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in time for release. We've also got a look at how to get our favourite starters Cyndaquil, Rowlet, and Scorbunny in the new generation, and here are the Rotom phone cases we can get!

Does Rellor evolve in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Rellor, the Rolling Pokémon, is modelled after a dung beetle, which then evolves into Rabsca - a scarab beetle. Rellor's Pokedex entry states:

"This Pokémon creates a mud ball by mixing sand and dirt with psychic energy. It treasures its mud ball more than its own life."

Though Rellor is solely a Bug-type, this description makes sense as Rabsca develops a dual Bug/Psychic type on evolution.

The two beetles come with helpful abilities, too: Rellor has Compound Eyes which raises its' accuracy by a massive 30%, and then Rabsca gains Synchronize.

This ability means that if the opposing Pokemon inflicts a burn, paralysis or poison, it will receive the same condition.

When does Rellor evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Evolving Rellor in Scarlet and Violet isn't as simple as you might expect. It's one of three new Pokémon that requires being taken for a walk - the other two are Bramblin and Pawmi.

To evolve Rellor, simply have it follow you in the new Let's Go adventure mode by having it in your lead spot and pressing R. Walk a total of 1,000 steps together, and its evolution will trigger the next time it gains a level. It's as easy as that.

We have a guide on how to walk Pokemon fast in Scarlet and Violet. There's a trick that makes evolving Rellor take about three minutes.
