Genshin Impact 3.3 - Release date, rumours, banners, and events

Hoyoverse works far into the future, and therefore, so do we. Genshin Impact 3.3 is due to come out in early December, and with it will come some more new characters and story updates. Here is what we know so far.

Information is still thin on the ground regarding the 3.3 update, but as more leaks and rumours come out, we'll flesh out this page with what we assume will prove to be true, and any likely characters coming to the banners. There will likely be some rerunning events, along with new ones, as this update will span the new year.

Genshin Impact 3.3 update release date

Version 3.3 will release on December 7, likely at midnight. This update will be back to six weeks in length, as only 3.0-3.2 were shortened to make up for the delay earlier in the year. This places 3.4 as a mid-January release and the second half of 3.3's banners around December 28.

The banners have now been confirmed, so we know the new characters and rerunning 5-Stars. The 4-Stars will be confirmed nearer to release.

The first half of 3.3 will see the release of Scaramouche as a playable character Wanderer, on his first 5-Star banner. He will be joined by Arataki Itto's banner rerun, and new 4-Star Faruzan.

The second half banners consist of Raiden Shogun's 5-Star banner rerun, to finish off the Archons after Zhongli and Venti's reruns, and Nahida's release. Kamisato Ayato finally gets a rerun here too, his first since release.

Are there any new characters coming in Genshin Impact 3.3?

Hoyoverse confirmed two new characters on Twitter; Faruzan, and Wanderer. These are both Anemo characters, being a 4-star bow user and a 5-star catalyst respectively.

The Wanderer is Scaramouche the Fatui Harbinger in playable form and has a robust Anemo melee kit. His outfit has had a redesign, and his story will continue in the update.

Faruzan is a designated support unit for Wanderer, and will release on his banner with boosted rates.

What events are happening in Genshin Impact 3.3?

Good news everyone! The Genius Invokation TCG is officially launching in Version 3.3, bringing new areas to play the game against NPCs and other players. Check out what we know about it right here.

There will be a couple of event reruns in this update, namely the Windtracer and the Misty Dungeon Realm events. The big event of the update however is the Akitsu Kimodameshi, featuring Arataki Itto and potentially Shikanoin Heizou. This gives us a clue as to potential reruns in this version, too!

Right now we need to sit tight and wait for more information, but while we do, why not check out some more Sumeru characters? We've already got Tighnari and now Nilou, but there's Alhaitham and Dehya to look forward to.
