How to unlock Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The recently released Festival of Friendship update has added more content and activities to Disney Dreamlight Valley, such as new quests, characters, and environments. Players can now go on quests with Olaf, chase down the squirrels in the Frosted Heights, and craft their own unique Dreamlight Prism. The update also includes new mini-games, a customisable home, and rewards for those who complete the quests.
After downloading the Festival of Friendship update, you'll be treated to a cutscene of a blizzard overtaking the Frosted Heights area of the valley. Speak to Merlin about it, and he'll tell you to investigate the wall in the back right corner of the area.
Once you interact with the door, you'll get a cutscene of Olaf sitting inside the cave and battling with some shadowy squirrels. He's missing his buttons, arms, and carrot nose. Chase down the squirrels in the Frosted Heights, and interact with them to get the pieces back.
Once you have the pieces, you'll need to go talk to Elsa. During the conversation, she'll tell you to use your watering can on the Pillar in the Frosted Heights. Follow her instructions, then talk to her again. Head back to Olaf and use the watering can on the various sparkling areas in the chamber. You'll get short cutscenes of you throwing the orb into the portal alongside Olaf's arms.
After viewing the memories, gather the items that Olaf tells you about, and you'll discover you need to craft a Dreamlight Prism. To do so, you'll need five Purified Night Shards, ten Glass, and three Shattered Prisms. Then, place the Prism on the pedestal in the chamber and add three gemstones - Amethyst, Citrine, and Emerald - to the empty pillars.

As the last part of this mission, you will need to reach into the portal and obtain the orb along with Olaf's arms. Finish the quest by putting the orb in the pillar and talking to Olaf. His friendship level will immediately go up to Level 2, and you'll have unlocked him.
