How to get Bounty Hunter in Darkest Dungeon 2

Bounty Hunter can be unlocked in the Living City, but he is not like other adventurers. This is because the Bounty Hunter is an Epic Character.

He cannot be selected at the Crossroads. Instead, you can hire him in the Inns that you encounter on your way. If you find such an Inn with a Bounty Hunter hire poster, you can pay some Candles of Hope and replace any of your characters with Bounty Hunter. He is quite strong and will accompany your party to the next Inn. After that, he will leave, and you will get your normal character back.

What characters are available at the beginning of your Darkest Dungeon 2 playthrough?
