The Apex Legends May 22 patch notes are now out in the open as Respawn Entertainment continues to adjust various aspects of Respawn Entertainment's battle royale. Season 17 is in full swing and in a bid to ensure a level playing field, the developer has opted to make adjustments to a handful of Legends proving popular in casual and ranked matches.

Unlike the seasonal updates, the May 22 update is much smaller, meaning you can rejoin the action in no time at all. But, before we take a closer look at the changes, take a look at our Apex Legends weapon tier list showcasing the very best guns to use in a match.

Apex Legends May 22 update patch notes

The May 22 patch notes contain nerfs to Wraith and Seer in addition to slight adjustments to the brightness on World's Edge, making it much easier for players to spot their intended target. Here are the full patch notes:

  • Wraith can no longer use weapons while knocked
  • Brightness on World’s Edge has been adjusted
  • Seer can no longer track through Dark Veil with his ultimate (the team is reviewing other abilities as well)

As mentioned above, it's only a small update but one that will improve the game greatly.

Apex Legends Wraith fight night fix

Since the start of Season 17, Wraith players have had the ability to shoot inside the Fight Night ring instead of dropping all weapons leaving their fists as the only way to deal damage. Thankfully, Respawn says a fix is in the works so we can expect another update isn't far away.

When is the next Apex Legends update?

At the time of writing, the date for the next Apex Legends update is unknown but with Respawn confirming another fix for Wraith is in the works, expect one to arrive in the next few weeks.
