Guardians of the Galaxy: How To Save Nikki From The Promise

Near the end of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, it will be up to you to save Cadet Gold from The Promise. However, The Promise is a dangerous adversary as it promises to give people their greatest desires which can easily manipulate their emotions and this can make it hard to save them. This is why we're going to show you how to save Nikki from The Promise and ultimately, save the Galaxy.

How To Save Nikki From the Promise

When the chapter begins you will need to focus on Ko-Rel's voice to be able to get into Nikki's mind. To do this, you will need to keep your vision locked onto Nikki's hand that is closest to The Grand Unifier. Once you've focused on it for a short period of time, you will be transported into Nikki's Promise.

You'll wake up to the same scenario that you went through earlier in the game on Hala's Hope. This will be Nikki's Promise which is set on having a birthday celebration for Ko-Rel. At first, you will need to go through the same steps that you went through when you first encountered her promise:

• Fix the hologram projector
• Set up the cake
• Get the present from Nikki's room and put it on the table.
• Talk to Ko-Rel when she knocks on the main door.

A lot of surprising truths come out in the conversation with Ko-Rel but she also tells you how you can help save Nikki. You need to destroy the illusion and to do so, follow these steps:

• Break the holograph projector
• Break the cake
• Smash the present

This will prompt new dialogue with Nikki and this is where the choices that you make will be very important. If you choose the wrong options, the cycle of dialogue will start again.

Here is the sequence of choices you need to pick to be able to save Nikki:

• Acknowledge limits
• Ease her guilt
• Trust Nikki

If you're successful, Peter will light a candle and enter a heartfelt moment where he consoles Nikki. This will prompt her to finally let go of the illusion and you will have saved her from The Promise.
