Saving the universe in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy sometimes means doing things that seem completely outrageous. One such moment is in Chapter 13 of the game where you decide to try to capture Fin Fang Foom as a peace offering for Lady Hellbender. No one before you has survived. We're going to show you how to defeat Fin Fang Foom.

How to Defeat Fin Fang Foom
The battle to defeat Fin Fang Foom happens in four parts. We recommend that you try to get as many skills unlocked for all of The Guardians as possible before facing Foom. For each part of the fight, you will need to be highly aware of your surroundings as Foom will have trapped you in a very narrow area.
You need to remove the ice armour on Foom's forearms, head, and chest. This is protecting him from taking any damage. The best way to remove the armour is to shoot it twice with your Plasma Blaster ability and then repeatedly shoot a section with normal ammunition.
As you attack him, Foom will start to shoot fireballs at you and the rest of the team. You need to avoid being hit by these and you can do this by watching the impact indicators on the ground. All you need to do is stay out of the red circles and you will not be hit.
Once you remove Foom's armour, you will move on to part two.
Foom will then fire into the sky and this will bring down shards of debris.
When he does this, he will also bring down one massive shard which Groot and Drax will automatically go to. When they do this, you need to continue to fire at Foom's chest whilst avoiding being hit by falling shards. Look around for the red impact circles and avoid being in them to not be hit by the debris.
After you shoot Foom a few times, a control indicator will come up and you need to do as it says quickly. Once you do this, Groot and Drax will throw the massive shard at Foom which will stagger him.
Whilst he's temporarily downed, you need to inflict as much damage as possible before his stagger gauge runs out. Use every Guardian attack you can and continuously shoot at him. Elemental attacks seem not to work so well in this bit so try to go for attacks that are quick and deadly.
Eventually, Foom will get back up and you will move on to part three.
Fin Fang Foom will now be very angry and he will come out with two new attacks. The first one means he will lower his head then breathe a long stream of fire across the battle area. To avoid being damaged by this one, try to be as far away from Foom as possible.
The next attack will give you a good chance to attack him with the Guardians as he will slam his claw into the ice to try to crush you. He will keep his forearm there for a brief time, so that's when you can order any of the Guardians to attack it.
In this part, you need to keep attacking Foom and eventually, you will get him to fire up into the sky as he did before. Follow the same steps that you did previously:
- The shards come down - avoid them
- Shoot Foom in the chest
- Follow the command prompt when it appears
- Drax and Groot will stagger Foom
- Inflict as much damage as possible.
If you do all of this successfully, Foom's health will be very low and you will move on to the final part of the fight.
You need to repeat all of the steps you took in part 3, but you must stay alive. Once Foom is downed you will not need to inflict any more damage onto him as you will have won.
You will fight many enemies and creatures throughout Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy but there's nothing quite like fighting a legendary dragon.
