Where Is GTA 5’s Prison Located?

GTA 5 is the biggest open-world game that Rockstar Games has ever created, which is saying a lot when you’ve seen all of the open-world games they’ve created, and the amount of detail they put really is worth praising, with everything from the buildings to the beaches looking really good, especially when you consider that this was originally on PS3 and Xbox 360.

While the game’s attention to detail is amazing, there is some missed potential here and there, with many players wishing Rockstar Games did more with Bolingbroke Penitentiary, aka, the jail in GTA 5, where you have maybe one or two missions there but not much else, which is a real shame since it a series like GTA should be ripe with jailbreaks.

Where Is GTA 5’s Prison Located?

Bolingbroke Penitentiary in GTA 5 can be found off the side of Route 68, which is in Los Santos County.

Naturally, the Los Santos police are rampant there so be careful around these parts unless you just want to cause some chaos for no particular reason.

That’s pretty much the only thing you can do there in GTA 5 as there are no single-player adventures to be had here unless you use mods on PC.

Multiplayer fans are a little luckier here since there is a GTA Online mission with the unoriginal title of ‘Prison Break,’ which has players rescuing a Russian prisoner.

Fans would have loved to see something like this on the single-player front so if Rockstar Games is working on any kind of single-player DLC, they need to start detailing that prison.

GTA 5 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
