Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Might have Simultaneous PC Launch

A new round of GTA Remastered trilogy datamining yielded some fruitful results, including what looks like a reference to a simultaneous PC launch. The information comes from the Rockstar's PC launcher, which was updated with several new bits of coding seemingly related to upcoming projects.

GTA Forums member VideoTech posted a screenshot of a dump file that showed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition in the various strings of code. It also ties the trilogy to Unreal, suggesting Rockstar is developing the trilogy's PC version alongside other console versions. If so, it'd be the first simultaneous PC release in the series.

Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Might have Simultaneous PC Launch

Another round of datamining, this time from @bs_blackscout, uncovered icons for the three games included in GTA Remastered trilogy.

The trilogy was reportedly slated for release in 2022, though a new rating from Brazil and a report from Video Games Chronicle suggest otherwise. VGC's sources say Rockstar is planning a November 2021 release for the trilogy, near when GTA 5 releases on next-gen consoles and GTA Online gets its standalone release.

However, the report also said the timing is fluid, in case Rockstar encounters unexpected issues along the way.
