GTA Online Summer Update: Open Wheel Racing Series Returns

While we wait for the emergence of GTA 6, we can rely on GTA Online to provide us with some fresh content - and Open Wheel Racing returns this week.

This time, it's back as part of the sizeable Summer Update which adds plenty of fresh content for players to enjoy.

Open Wheel Racing Is Back

Petrolheads, rejoice. Rockstar has confirmed Open Wheel Racing is coming (think F1 on new tracks).

When the mode was introduced, Rockstar said:

“There is still much more to come in 2020. Next up for GTA Online is the addition of an open-wheel racing series featuring all-new vehicle types – with tense, high speed, track-based racing where tight cornering, tactical tire choices and perfectly timed pit stops make every second count."

“Plus, expect more big updates and a few surprises as we move forward into the year."

Perhaps most excitingly, you'll be able to create your own street circuits, as GTA Online continues to be the gift that keeps on giving.

We don't know know what kind of restrictions there are, but we'd love to get the chance to race through the mountains around Los Santos, back down into the city.
