GTA Online is the gift that keeps on giving, with near-constant updates landing seemingly each and every week.
With GTA 6 seemingly some way off, it's a good job that GTA Online allows you to live out your criminal fantasies – and with friends no less.
If you're looking to make some cash (and by some we mean a LOT of cash), you'll want to look into performing heists. These are high-risk, high-reward missions, and easily the mode's highlight. Here's how to get started.

How To Do Heists In GTA Online
Heists are elaborate, multi-step missions that involve plenty of action – but you can't jump right in at the deep end. One player will need to be at least Rank 12 in GTA Online, and own a high-end apartment. The cheapest of which is Del Perro Heights, which costs a very reasonable $200k.
Once you've ticked those boxes, you'll hear from Lester who will invite you to his garment factory to get the ball rolling.
You'll need plenty of cash for a heist because you'll be hiring NPCs and hiring equipment, so expect to complete missions to bankroll them. The Heist Leader is the player that puts down the cash and they also plan the way the heist unfolds – keep them onside, as they'll have the final say in splitting the profits.
Some heists will have set player counts, making it impossible to run them solo. Here's a quick outline of the players you'll need for each:
- The Fleeca Job
- The Prison Break
- The Humane Labs Raid
- Series A Funding
- The Pacific Standard
- The Data Breaches
- The Bogdan Problem
- The Doomsday Scenario
- The Diamond Casino Heist (Cash)
- The Diamond Casino Heist (Artwork)
- The Diamond Casino Heist (Gold)
