Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Frontline was first announced last week. Moving away from 2019's Breakpoint, Frontline retains that tactical action, but instead offers a free-to-play take on the iconic series. It's not launching until next year but in the run up, Frontline's getting a closed beta.

Ubisoft Postpone Closed Test for Ghost Recon Frontline - October 13th, 2021

Ubisoft's confirmed that a day before it was due to go live, they've now delayed Ghost Recon Frontline's Closed Test. You can read the full statement below:


Ghost Recon Frontline Beta: Start Time

The first "European PC Closed Test" was originally scheduled to starts on 14th October 2021, ending a week later on 21st October. However, Ubisoft has confirmed this has been postponed, which you can find below. We don't have a new date yet, but will keep this updated once we know.

Ghost Recon Frontline Beta: How To Sign Up

To sign up for Frontline's beta, you'll need to visit Ubisoft's official website. Once there, login to your account, find "PC Closed Test Registration" and select the PC platform. Once done, Ubisoft will later email you to confirm if you've been approved for this closed test.


If you successfully register, you'll also be able to invite up to five friends to join you in playing Frontline's beta. So, if you've got a squad, make sure you all sign up individually for maximum chance of success.

Ghost Recon Frontline Beta: Platforms

While Ubisoft's upcoming game will launch for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna, this beta's only available for PC.

If you don't have a gaming PC, then fear not. Ubisoft has confirmed there'll be additional live phases in the future before launch on consoles. As part of these "future phases", Ubisoft revealed they'll support crossplay between each platform.

Ghost Recon Frontline Beta: What PC Specifications Do I Need?

Ubisoft has outlined the required specs through their official website. These are the minimum specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 3 1200/Intel Core I5 4460 - RAM 8 GB - AMD Radeon RX 470 (4 GB)/Nvidia Geforce GTX 670/760/960 (4 GB) - Windows 10

This is the recommended configuration:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 1600/Intel Core I7 6700K - RAM 16 GB - AMD Radeon RX 480 (8GB)/Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 (6 GB) - Windows 10
