Ghost of Tsushima's Iki Island Expansion Is Similar Size To Izuhara


It's been a month since Sony lifted the lid on Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. Arriving on PS4 and PS5 next month, the next-gen edition utilises adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, alongside 60fps and 4K resolutions. Most notably though, we've got a new expanded campaign too.

Taking us to Iki Island, many players have wondered how long this expansion will take to complete. Speaking to Push Square in a recent interview, Sucker Punch's creative director Nate Fox had the answer.

Ghost of Tsushima's Iki Island Expansion Is Similar Size To Izuhara

Advising Iki Island is comparable to Izuhara, the setting for Ghost Of Tsushima's first act, Fox confirmed:

If you're familiar with Ghost of Tsushima, Iki Island is the size of, really, the first act of the main game, Izuhara. It's a big, dense story with a lot of landscape and secrets to discover.

Roughly speaking, Izuhara's open world area takes around 10-20 hours, depending on how much time you spend with the story, side quests and other optional activities. Based off that comparison, it sounds like we're in for a sizeable expansion, and we'll keep you informed as we learn more.
