Ghost of Tsushima: How Big Is The Map?
While the real island is a sizeable 274 square mile, this digital version is considerably smaller.
Twinfinite ran the numbers and calculated that the game's surface area is 11.02 square miles. For comparison, the Witcher 3's map (without expansions) is 20.8 square miles, while Breath of the Wild's is a mammoth 28.9.
Despite that, at no point during my playthrough did Sucker Punch's latest open-world feel anything short of massive.
