Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will release August 20 for both platforms and will cost $69.99 on PS5 and $59.99 on PS4.

If you buy the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $9.99. Those who have the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima can upgrade to the Director’s Cut on PS4 for $19.99.

Finally, if you have the original Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, you can upgrade to the PS5 Director’s Cut for $29.99.

Both the PS4 and PS5 versions will include the new standalone content set on Iki Island, and both include all previously released DLC.

“Today we can confirm that beyond a whole new story and new characters, this new island also features tons of new content including brand new environments to explore, new armor for Jin as well as his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, new enemy types, and much more,” the official announcement reads. “There are even new animals to pet!”

The PlayStation 5 version includes several additional features. One of these is improved Japanese lip syncing, which certainly didn’t need the power of the PS5 to exist, but here we are nonetheless.

Other hardware-specific improvements make use of adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and support for 60fps and 4K resolutions.

August 20 isn't far away, so expect more information soon - possibly during Sony's rumored PlayStation Experience event supposedly happening in July.
