Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer: Treyarch Responds To Weapon Camo Bug

Since its release on November 13th, players have experienced a number of bugs and glitches while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The latest instalment in the Call of Duty franchise sees players getting to grips with an all-new multiplayer experience, with new camouflages to unlock alongside a wealth of in-game content.

As players work their way through the camo challenges for each of the 29 weapons available in the weapon arsenal.

Once each camo challenge has been completed, players will get their hands on the coveted Dark Matter camo to display on every single weapon available in the game.

Some players have already managed to obtain Dark Matter. As they go into the menus to equip it, a bug is preventing the camo from unlocking, much to the annoyance of those that have spent countless hours grinding.

The video shows the player displaying the camos that they have obtained for the RPD light machine gun and after showing that each of the 35 camos are unlocked, they are unable to access to the Gold camo which should be available once all camo challenges have been completed.

Considering the amount of time it takes for players to earn Gold camo for a weapon in Black Ops Cold War, it is understandable that players are frustrated.

Treyarch Has Promised A Fix

While it may seem that Treyarch has remained silent on the bug, Community Manager Josh Torres has confirmed that the developer is aware of the issue.

“We’re aware of this issue and have a fix scheduled for a later date,” he confirmed on the Black Ops Cold War subreddit.

With the launch of Season One delayed until December 16th, this issue could well be rectified in the not too distant future.

Until then, players that have earned the gorgeous camos will have to wait a little long before equipping it to their weapons.
