Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation Boss Fight Guide

The Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation is a new boss that makes it electrifying entrance in the 2.1 update. Just like the Hydro Hypostasis on Watatsumi Island, the Thunder Manifestation is actually a variant of the pre-existing Oceanid boss in Liyue that was originally referred to as the Electro Oceanid.

But this version is far less chill than its Hydro counterpart and can provide a tough little fight, especially when Seirai Island is so inhospitable and covered with a Balethunder effect that gradually reduces HP. So get those Pyro and Cryo damage-dealers at the ready, as in this Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation guide, we'll walk you through how to find and beat the boss.

Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation Location

The Thunder Manifestation is located on Seirai Island, but you'll be in for some disappointment if you head straight there. In order to unlock the boss, you have to complete the 'Seirai Stormchasers' quest. Head to Katheryne at the Adventurer's Guild in Inazuma City, then she'll direct you to go to Seirai Island in search of some missing people

Once there, you'll have to help some adventurers and a talking cat repair the island's sealing stones. When this questline is complete, you'll get to face the Thunder Manifestation for real.

Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation Strategy

Unlike the regular Oceanid, the Thunder Manifestation attacks you directly instead of summoning minions, using a variety of Electro AoE abilities. The attacks you really need to watch out for are when it summons two lightning walls and tries to crush you between them, when it summons a lightning prism that chases you around the arena, and when it fires a barrage of Electro bolts at you.

Some of these attacks, such as the lightning walls and the Electro bolts, can be quickly dodged before you go back to doing damage. But when the lightning prism appears, it's better to just run away until its duration ends, as that attack locks on and deals continuous damage, so it can melt your characters quickly. The Thunder Manifestation also flies at you, dealing Electro damage, but luckily this attack is heavily telegraphed, as is the one where it performs a spin attack.

Basically, just watch out for those AoE attack indicators and the telegraphing, deal damage when you can, and the boss will be over before you know it.

Genshin Impact Thunder Manifestation Party Comp

If you want to be in with the best chance of beating the Thunder Manifestation, you'll need a decent balance of healing, shield support, and damage – same as any boss, really.

Geo is a good pick for this fight since its shields can offer decent protection against Electro, but in terms of damage-dealers, Cryo and Pyro are the elements to aim for, so if you managed to bag either Ayaka or Yoimiya back in 2.0, now's the time to show them off.
