Primo Geovishap is a Boss located in the Liyue region, located in a circular underground arena-like structure on the western part of Nantianmen. It looks like a large dragon-like beast with stone-like scales. After it’s defeated, the player must consume 40 Original Resin to claim her drops, which consist of various Artifacts and Ascension Materials for several different characters.

Primo Geovishap - Abilities and Attacks

The Primo Geovishap is always encountered in an idle state in one of the four elements; Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro. This additional element is indicated by the color of the scales on it.

Elemental-Infused Stones: Certain attacks will produce stones that detonate shortly after, dealing elemental damage of the currently infused element. Each element has different effects on these stones:

  • Pyro-Infused Stones: Leaves a large pool of lava dealing continuous Pyro damage to characters in the affected area.
  • Hydro-Infused Stones: Cause seven small eruptions that deal Hydro damage.
  • Cryo-Infused Stones: Generates a ring of ice spikes that start from the center of the stone and propagate up to 3 times, dealing Cryo damage.
  • Electro-Infused Stones: Explodes in an X-like pattern, dealing Electro damage.

Punch: Quickly punches at the player.

Whirlwind: It performs a quick spinning attack. This attack is heavily prioritized if any players are behind the Primo Geovishap.

Slash: Claws in front of itself once.

Combo Slash: Attack forward twice, and ends with a slam towards you.

Burrow: Whenever you get outside Primo Geovishap's melee reach, it will submerge underground and dig towards you, creating Elemental-Infused Stones as it travels. Upon reaching you, it resurfaces and performs a slam.

Scattered Rocks: It will raise the tail and spread several rocks around the arena. This will explode shortly after, dealing the current infused type of element.

Elemental Breath: The Primo Geovishap will shoot a breath of elemental power in a conal area, dealing massive damage of the currently infused element.

Primeval Spring: Spawns Elemental-Infused stones around itself. The attack itself deals no damage and can only be used once Primo Geovishap reaches critical health.

Primordial Shower: Primo Geovishap releases a blast of elemental power in an AoE around itself, dealing massive elemental damage of the currently infused element. Primordial Shower will not be performed once Primo Geovishap reaches critical health and will instead perform Primeval Spring.

Primo Geovishap - Fight Strategy

For this fight, you will need shields for sure, since this boss hits like a truck. Zhongli and Noelle are highly recommended for this, and the rest of your team should have heavy hitters of different elements or several built with a physical attack setup in mind (Eula I’m looking at you) since the different elements Primo Geovishap can infuse on itself can make the fight really tricky if you’re not prepared.
