Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors - Everything We Know

Looking for details about Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors? In this upcoming event, we'll be heading into a dungeon called the Mystic Onmyou Chamber, fighting rooms full of random monsters alongside Shiki-Taishou – a floating paper Samurai. But Taishou isn't just there to take up space, he'll also offer a variety of abilities to help us deal with whatever the chamber has in store.

In a lot of ways, it's quite similar to Spiral Abyss, but it's got more than enough to distinguish it as its own seperate dungeon, with unique buffs and abilities to take into the challenges with you, and some decent rewards in the form of four-star character Xinyan and the usual crop of primogems and xp materials.

Alongside Tuned to the World's Sounds, it's the headlining event of Genshin Impact 2.2, so hopefully it'll offer a fun dungeon-delving experience. That said, here's everything we currently know about the upcoming Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors event.

Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors Release Date

There are a variety of different reports in regards to the Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors release date – the only thing we know for sure is that it's coming in version 2.2, which releases on October 13 and lasts into November. As it's the headlining event, it's safe to say it should arrive pretty soon after the version launches, in October at least.

How Does Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors Work?

The upcoming Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors event actually looks to be kind of similar to the Spiral Abyss – Genshin's pre-existing dungeon. Just like the Abyss, you'll have to select two teams and fight through each floor of the Mystic Onmyou Chamber, which contains multiple rooms filled with random enemies. Also like Abyss, you get to choose from a variety of buffs to help you in the form of Shiki-Fuda.

Where Labyrinth Warriors differs from Abyss, though, is with Shiki-Taishou. This paper Samurai joins you in battle, and it looks like he can use abilities that deal damage and apply elemental statuses. In the Genshin Impact 2.2 stream, we saw an ability that looks a lot like Mona's Mirror Reflection of Doom skill, so maybe Shiki-Taishou will be able to mimic pre-existing elemental skills to give you an advantage. Unless what we're seeing is actually a Shiki-Fuda ability.

As you fight through each chamber, you'll receive one of three random drops:

  • Battered Shiki-Fuda: Used to obtain buffs in the challenges
  • Damage Replicas: Enhance Shiki-Taishou's abilities
  • Age Tokens: Exchanged in the event shop for rewards

There are five floors altogether, each with a number of different rooms to fight through and age tokens to earn.

Who Is Shiki-Taishou?

The event didn't give too much away, but it seems like Shiki-Taishou used to rule over the Mystic Onmyou Chamber before he was a paper Samurai and, presumably, still human. In the event, he'll float alongside you and act as a support, using abilities to help you in combat.

You can also level up these abilities, and it looks like many of them have multiple available upgrades. Some of them seem to increase drop rates, but it wouldn't be a stretch to assume others buff his combat proficiency, too.

What Are Shiki-Fuda?

These are the buffs that you can choose to bring into the Mystic Onmyou Chamber with you, granting a bonus in combat. But unlike the buffs in the Abyss, these seem a lot more varied and offer battlefield abilities, too.

For example, some can create elemental barriers, some summon spirits to attack enemies, while others provide buffs for the active character. You can choose three to bring into each floor with you, and each Shiki-Fuda will have a limited number of uses.

What Are the Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors Rewards?

As with Thunder Sojourn, Genshin Impact Labyrinth Warriors is another event where you can get your hands on a four-star character for free. This time around, it's Pyro claymore-wielder Xinyan. You'll get primogems, mora, and experience items for completing the floors, but as per usual, there is also an event shop where you can spend your well-earned age tokens.

You'll be able to buy character ascension materials like fragments, talent level-up materials, primogems, mora, more experience items, and the crown of insight if you're looking to max out a talent level. Xinyan doesn't appear in the shop's preview, so you might have to get her via other means unless there are multiple shop levels for the event.
