Genshin Impact is still the talk of the town when it comes to free-to-play games, as the massive RPG has allowed players to recruit really hot anime characters that play differently, with fans not minding the multiple currencies since they can be earned through gameplay.
It’s obvious that Genshin Impact is popular with the anime crowd for its stellar character designs, which is why miHoYo was able to make bank by selling in-game currency since everyone wants to get Jean or Diluc.
Genshin Impact Jean Skin Leaked, May Be Locked Behind A Paywall
Unique characters are one thing but it looks like miHoYo is gonna start tempting fans with skins of their favorite characters, as a leaked Jean skin has been uncovered and looks to be locked behind a paywall.
While fans are used to farming for in-game currency in Genshin Impact, the leaked Jeak skin is reportedly locked behind Genesis Crystals, which can only be purchased with real money, so it looks like skins will be something players have to pay for.
This has been the standard for a number of free-to-play titles so it was probably a matter of time before Genshin Impact indulged in some skin paywalls. Still, seeing this leaked Jeak skin cost about $20 is a bit much for character skins, though games like Apex Legends have done that as well.
Honestly, that doesn’t make it better and we’d prefer it if these skins were cheaper but Genshin Impact is already a free-to-play game so an argument can be made about how cosmetics can be priced but we still wish it didn’t cost that much.
Genshin Impact is now available on PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
