Genshin Impact Ayaka Trailer Introduces the Kamisato Heir and Teases Events

miHoYo released a Genshin Impact Ayaka trailer ahead of the game's big Inazuma update.

The Ayaka trailer briefly covers some of the pressures facing the Kamisato clan heir, including the demands her position place on her, and hint at some of the activities we'll probably be taking part in once the update lands.

Because Ayaka's upbringing trained her in the art of etiquette, she finds it difficult to be anything other than proper. Calligraphy lessons and perfecting the tea ceremony occupied much of her time, along with her sword training.

Where commerce and backroom deals characterized Liyue, it seems likely these slower-paced rituals will influence the character of Inazuma, its quests, and its people.

At least, it will until they break loose.

The trailer's second half focuses on preparations for an upcoming festival, one an unknown person -- the Traveler, possibly -- pushes Ayaka to attend.

She agrees on condition that no one realizes it's her in attendance. Assuming this isn't just for narrative context, it could mean miHoYo has a big festival planned for the upcoming patch or for Genshin 2.1, one that isn't the Moonchase Festival.

Genshin Impact 2.0 releases July 21, so we won't have to wait long to find out.
