The first two regions, Mondstadt and Liyue, have been warm in accepting to Genshin Impact’s traveler to their City. However, Inazuma may change that tone as the story describes what’s happening in this isolated nation. Here’s why Inazuma won’t be as nice when players find it in Genshin Impact.
The Vision Hunt Decree
At the end of funeral of Rex Lapis during the story quest, Zhongli advises the Traveler to go visit the Inazuma Archon to get more clues in finding their lost sibling. However, Zhongli also notes that Inazuma is in a dire situation due to the Vision Hunt Decree.
As of now, the Inazuma Shogun and their forces are actively confiscating Electro Visions from their owners and offering it to a statue. Zhongli notes that this decree is the Electro Archon’s way of exercising its authority as the God of Eternity.

Traveler’s Electro Vision
Early in the Traveler’s adventures in Mondstadt and Liyue, the Traveler gets their own Vision according to element of the Archon governing the region. However, owning an Electro Vision is considered criminal due to the Vision Hunt Decree.
Potentially, the Traveler will be at odds with the Electro Archon in their adventure in this region. So far, the Anemo Archon and Geo Archon held no animosity to the Traveler upon first meeting them. However, the Traveler’s ability to use an Electro Vision will definitely be a point of conflict in the region.
Wait And See
According to Genshin Impact leaks, the Shogun herself will also be a playable character in the game. Similar to Tartaglia, she could be a big boss fight in the region while also a recruitable character to the Traveler’s party.
For now, Mihoyo has only revealed Kazuha, Yoimiya, Ayaka and Sayu as the first set of Inazuma characters. All of their official reveals show no connection to the Electro Archon at the moment.
