Genshin Impact 1.6 will be coming out very soon, as the massive update is scheduled for a June 9 release date, with many fans looking forward to all the new things that will be added to the game.
The nature of leaks has spoiled a number of things coming to Genshin Impact 1.6 but there are still some things that won’t be coming to the game, which makes sense because developers want this game to have a solid online life.

Update - June 8
miHoYo added several new details about the 1.6 update in the update's pre-load notice.
The Island Adventure unfolds in four stages, each beginning three days after the previous, and following the quest chain leads you to the new boss, Maguu Kenki.
These islands will only be available for the event's duration, though Maguu Kenkii can still be challenged after the event ends. You just won't get the event-specific rewards anymore.
Barbara's outfit is only available through the in-game event Echoing Tales. Note that since this event is exclusive to Genshin Impact 1.6, you won't be able to obtain Barbara's costume after the event ends.
Genshin 1.6 Release Date
We’ll be seeing Genshin Impact 1.6 on PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices on June 9.
As usual, players in Asia will get it ahead of the rest of the world, who will be getting it at 4 pm on June 8.
Midsummer Island Adventure
The main focus of Genshin Impact 1.6 is a number of new islands that players will be able to explore as part of this game’s story, though we’ll assume that a number of side quests will also be available in these places.
Players will also get a boat that can fire Klee bombs at enemies that might try to tail you.
Genshin Impact Character Skins
A first for the series, though something a lot of fans saw coming, we are going to get new skins for existing characters in Genshin Impact 1.6.
Jean's was the first one leaked and promotional images have confirmed it, along with a costume for Barbara.
Jean's costume will be available to purchase for 1,680 Genesis Crystals.
Genshin Impact 1.6 Banners
One thing we’re all excited to see in Genshin Impact 1.6 is the new Banners that are going to be added since miHoYo has done a good job of making each character play differently.
Klee has been confirmed and will be the first new Banner available in the game, called the Sparkling Steps banner.
Alongside Klee, we'll see boosted drop rates for Barbara, Sucrose, and Fischl.
The second banner doesn't have a name yet but will feature the new five-star character Kazuha.
Genshin Impact 1.6 Weapons
As ever, the new update brings new weapons and an Epitome Invocation with it.

- Mitternachts Waltz (4-Star Bow)
- Dodoco Tales (4-Star Catalyst)
Serenitea Pot Upgrade
For those that like to build their imaginary homes in Genshin Impact, Update 1.6 will overhaul the system a bit by adding a higher load to ensure that players can add more furniture.
This is a very good addition to the game and one that players have been asking for so there’s very little to complain about here. Let’s hope they keep making this side mode in Genshin Impact better with more updates.
