During the Midsummer Island Adventure event in Genshin Impact, Mihoyo put up the Northlander Billet Trove as one of the rewards. The item allows players to pick one of required materials to craft 4-star weapons from the blacksmith. Here’s how to use the Northlander Billet Trove right.

How To Get The Trove

To get the Northlander Billet Trove, players will need to earn 500 Shiny Flotsams to buy it from Midsummer Island Adventure event shop. The Shiny Flotsams are obtainable after clearing the challenge quests where Hilichurl camps at sea are taken down.

The item can be found at the Precious Items inventory where Condensed Resins are usually found. Upon opening the trove, the players will be offered five choices and be allowed to take one of their liking. Once the choice is made, the Trove is consumed. Normally, these Billets are obtained from world bosses only and are not assured drops.

Check Your Best Character

Normally, choosing a billet requires to have a character that’ll benefit from the weapon that’s going to be forged out of it. Before picking a billet, check your characters to know which one will need a 4-star weapon to function.

To be useful in battle, most characters often need at least a well-leveled 4-star weapon that synergizes with their kit. For example, Diluc oftens needs at least a Level 80 Prototype Archaic to help him deal out as much damage as he can.

Reserve For Future Characters

Alternatively, it’s also good to just keep the box just in case you’ll need more Billets to craft a weapon. More characters will arrive to Genshin Impact according to official announcements and leaks. If your new characters ever run out of good weapons to use for themselves, the Northland Billet Trove will be ready for a crafted one for them.
