With the release of Tears of the Kingdom now having arrived, most of the lucky Legend of Zelda fans who didn’t have prior commitments have likely spent the majority of the last few days exploring the picturesque plains of Hyrule.

Regardless of which version of Nintendo’s latest release you chose to invest in or what you’ve thought of the overall experience it offers so far, odds are the array of fuse-compatible weapons and interesting activities on offer will keep you entertained for a good while.

In fact, as the array of interesting in-game creations and shenanigans already being posted to social media prove, for those with active imaginations and that have no problem with pausing their pursuit of the game’s main quest, the fun may never stop.

What kind of clever contraptions have you created in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom so far?

While some players have taken social media by storm via their terrifying contraption-based treatment of Koroks, others seem to have set their sights on creating incredibly technologically-advanced gizmos designed to help them inflict pain on slightly more fearsome creatures.

You’ve likely already seen a few posts about bombers and tanks patrolling the skies and meadows of Hyrule, but on the subreddit r/zelda, a couple of even more unique devices are already starting to pop up, such as the “autonomous killer drone”, dubbed Jerry, posted by user Xyrack.

On the other hand, those who want to build machines that don’t risk violating the Geneva conventions might want to check out user championplayuh’s “Hylian Segway”, which was seemingly inspired by a joke comment on one of their other creations.

Thankfully for those adventurers who don’t possess a knack for advanced engineering, not every clip being posted online features an impressive gizmo doing exactly what it’s supposed to.

The likes of user Pat_lechef have shared an array of bloopers and miscues from their various building projects, which can provide some comfort if your attempts to create a destructive doohickey or technologically-advanced transport keep going up in flames or blowing up in your face.
