Xbox Series X Runs The Witcher 3 So Quickly That The Game Almost Struggles To Keep Up


The Witcher 3 is one of the current generation's finest titles, and while CD Projekt has promised upcoming next-gen enhancements, the game is already running so quickly on Xbox Series X that it's almost breaking.

A new YouTube video shows Geralt's adventure running on the Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility, and the map struggling to keep up.

Essentially what you're seeing is the map loading so quickly, that the game doesn't even head to a loading screen.

It's worth noting that the game remains entirely unoptimised, too, so in theory it could get even faster in the coming months (or at least it should load a lot more smoothly).

Of course, the team is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077, which was delayed last week until December
